Commenting

Got something to say about a post? Say it! I welcome comments, it’s always great to know what you think about Another Kind Of Mind (even if you don’t agree with me…).

However, please be aware that – for the sake of my sanity – I moderate all comments and reserve the right to delete anything I find offensive. This has, so far, never happened (although there have been a few borderline cases) – free speech is very important to me, but, like most people, I do have my personal limits.

And, after all, as this is my blog, I reckon I get to make the rules around here…. ;)

Therefore, be warned that I will delete and block on sight if anyone posts flamingly objectionable personal attacks, persistent spam, or anything sexist, racist, homophobic, biphobic or transphobic.

Oh, and please don’t feed the trolls…

Peace and love :)

Incidentally, although I ask that you stick to this policy, I also have some rules that I follow when blogging (fair’s fair!). You can read my Code of Conduct for Another Kind Of Mind here.

    Hi Trickygirl

Found you via land and freedom camp link.

Like you it seems I am bordering on obsessive about talking politics, art, sport, etc. etc.
No blog but have plenty rants and ramblings ready and waiting. However without dialogue it just becomes like therapy ?
Why are there so many people who just want to get on with life and not contemplate their navel or someone else`s ?

    Cheers steve

    • Hello Steve, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!

I agree with you that dialogue is important – when I first started blogging, I felt as if I was yelling into a void; I had no idea if anyone was even reading what I was writing. Luckily, I’ve slowly built up a readership and often get comments from people such as yourself as well as various real-life friends who read my blog regularly. I’ve even become friends with one or two regular commenters!

If you have rants and ramblings of your own, why not start a blog? It’s easier than you might think, and it is a good form of therapy if you want it to be (you can always set it to private, so only you or a small group of people can read it if you’d rather).

Getting on with life is one way of getting by, I suppose – but I feel that it is important to stop and think. Change won’t happen unless people actually start thinking about and analysing what’s going on in the world. It’s only then that we realise that things are actually going wrong with our planet and we need to figure out ways of putting it right.

      Take care,

      claire (aka trickygirl)
