Born and brought up in London, CB has been blogging in various places for more than a decade now – and can’t seem to stop. She started Another Kind Of Mind in 2009, and soon found a loyal and friendly readership from all over the world.
She writes here on numerous subjects, including music, film, photography, art, politics, history, football (especially her beloved Tottenham Hotspur), comedy, philosophy and the natural world. Among the most popular items on Another Kind Of Mind are her annual Christmas posts, which are usually still being searched for in the middle of July!
Away from her writing here, she is an historian by training, as well as an unrepentant music geek, an omniverous bookworm, an avid photographer of trees and street art, the deputy gaffer of an online football prediction league, an occasionally scary feminist, and a semi-retired activist.
She drinks too much coffee and smokes too many roll-ups. Like Terry Pratchett‘s much-loved Death character, she is also very fond of cats. She especially likes beer and interesting people – preferably at the same time, if at all possible.
Chronic ill-health (and some heavy-duty medication) mean she does not always blog as much as she would like, however she does very occasionally write for other people and is also the editor of the football history site And Still Ricky Villa.
